But, when those fatty acids can’t be utilized and we get ready to consume our next meal, the remaining fatty acids are stored away inside our extra fat cells.

That's where the nagging problem begins. Those essential fatty acids that are being stored away combine with two other essential fatty acids and a glycerol molecule to produce what’s known as a triglyceride.

Triglycerides are extremely big, and because of their size aren’t able to exit the body fat cells like those free-flowing fatty acids can. As a result, triglycerides become stubborn body fat that is so difficult to get rid of incredibly.

“But here’s finished .,” Flatt said. “Those triglycerides can be targeted, plus they can be broken back down into those essential fatty acids that can be burnt by your body for energy.
