Muscle Focus: Abdominals, obliques, back extensors.
Objective: Strengthen abdominals, obliques, and back extensors. Increase spinal rotation.

Start Position: Sit tall with legs extended straight and slightly wider than hip distance apart, with feet flexed. Arms reach straight to the side and shoulder height.

Movement: Inhale rotate your torso to the right, exhale dive forward reaching the outside of your left hand to the outside of your right foot. Inhale stack your spine staying in rotation, exhale unwind to center. Repeat on the other side.

Precautions: As you twist to one side, ensure that the pelvis does not shift and the torso does not lean. Lower body stays anchored into the Mat.

You can have fun choosing an outfit that looks good and expresses your personality while you work out. Workout clothing that suits your style is going to be a great motivating factor.


If your workout regimen does not incorporate variety, you are likely to lose interest quickly. Sticking with the same type of exercise could become boring and cause you to lose interest in your routine. Turn things inside out and do your routine backward. This will make exercising interesting and help you to stay motivated. If you lose interest in exercise, then you will probably end up quitting. Once you stop working out, it is hard to get the motivation to do it again.


It is important to reward yourself when you hit a fitness goal, especially because it motivates you to continue moving forward. The reward does not have to be anything big. It can just be a small dessert or a new clothing article. Your reward should consist of something that you can actually get and that you really want.
