WELCOME to Fightmaster Yoga, I'm Lesley Fightmaster (yes...that's really my last name). Before yoga, my head would never shut up! I felt anxious and uncomfortable. I stressed about the future and regretted the past. I was wound so tightly, took myself way too seriously and carried the weight of the world on my shoulders. I hardly ever laughed. Morning yoga taught me to breathe, to connect and to find space. My intention for this fitness channel is to help you quiet your mind and get comfortable in your own skin. People do not fail to become fit because they are doing a specific exercise the wrong way. What holds most people back is a lack of know-how and desire. The secret to committing to getting fit is finding a way to enjoy your workouts.
Turn up the volume when you workout. If you are feeling lethargic, music's inspiration can snap you out of it. One you hear the rhythm, your body will begin to move with it. Jut let go, and let your body get into it! When you have fun, you will exercise better. Listen to the music and let it distract you from your body's aches and pains.
Ask family and friends if they are interested in working out with you. You can work together on your weight loss plan, keeping a note of your progress. Not only that, it's fun to have a workout buddy. Workout with a friend if you want your workout to go faster. Time will fly, and you will be having so much fun, you won't want it to end.
Buy a fitness video for your game system. This is a wonderful way to make your workout more exciting. These games tend to have built in reward systems that will help motivate you and distract you from the effort of playing. The provided distraction will help you stay motivated.
If you have clothes that look good and make you feel great, you are more likely to want to go to the gym. Spend some money on workout gear that fits you comfortably and that you look great in. Make sure that the gym clothes you choose will inspire you to get out and visit the gym.
Vary your exercise routine so you won't get bored with your current one. Experiment with new exercises as often as you can to keep your workout routine fresh and exciting. People often lose gusto when exercising because it becomes boring and tiresome; make sure you are constantly switching up your workout routine to keep it fun and original to motivate you to keep going. Maintaining interest is extremely important. If you quit, it makes it very difficult to restart.
Whenever you achieve a fitness milestone, make sure you give yourself a reward. This will help keep you motivated. You do not have to reward yourself with something big. A simple reward such as a bit of dessert or a new outfit is a great reward for reaching a goal. When trying to think of an appropriate reward, you have to make sure it is something that you will really anticipate and will not have trouble obtaining. Motivation is key to reaching your ultimate goal.
