Run + Hike
Morning guys – it is back to work these days following a enjoyable prolonged weekend! As I pointed out, Matt had the day off yesterday for the holiday and I desired to take most of the day off, also, so I received up just before him and had a fast breakfast just before undertaking a couple hrs of work. On the menu a pumpkin muffin (x2 – went back for one more because they are little) + 2 fried eggs + some berries. Hit the spot!
Late morning I closed the laptop and we headed out for a run. We’re functioning on building back up our mileage since of the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler coming up in April! I’m thrilled to be partnering with my close friends at Cabot once more for the race, and Matt is going to be on the team this yr. He’s by no means done that race before – will be exciting to have him on board!
We had a great run – gorgeous morning for it!
Though we did a reeeeeally hilly route – oof! 5 miles – check out!
After lunch (I manufactured us some straightforward tuna salad wraps) we headed out for our up coming adventure of the day: hiking the Billy Goat Trail in Wonderful Falls, MD with my grad school good friend Steph and her husband Tom who also had the day off. :)
It was such a good day to be outdoors and enjoyable to catch up with Steph and Tom – we hadn’t seen them in awhile!
Matt was his typical mountain goat self – he loves exploring alternate routes!
This kind of a fun afternoon! The trail was packed even though – tons of men and women had the same concept apparently. :)
Following all that activity Matt and I have been wiped last evening – we came house and relaxed for a bit (and had some snacks!) and then created a swift dinner (a variation on my Almond Crusted Tilapia with roasted broccoli). I was in bed by eight:45 to read, and lights out by 9:30. So tired!
I’m glad I got nearly 9 hours of rest since this morning I met up with my buddy Chelsea for a Definitions boot camp by way of ClassPass (<- affiliate link for $ thirty off). It was a wonderful exercise, as usually, made much more fun by the fact that I had a buddy by my side. :)
I showered at the gymnasium following so I could head straight to my co-doing work room. Some of the others in the class headed for the showers correct away so while I waited for the showers to free of charge up I did some foam rolling. I have been foam rolling so much much more recently now that I have to wait for the showers at our numerous boot camp gyms! Often a very good factor to foam roll much more.
I have a single AnneTheRD client get in touch with on the agenda nowadays but otherwise it is going to be a heads-down kind of perform day – I have a bunch of writing I need to do for approaching posts and partnerships. Far better get to it!
Remain tuned – tomorrow I’ll be sharing one more installment in my brother’s series of mountaineering guest posts – this 1 will be about his Mt. Rainier summit last summer season! :)
