We're going to start with breathing. Now on the next exhale, not only are you going to pull the belly deep, but you're also going to pull the abs out wide, trying to contract in the obliques on the sides of the abs. Inhaling through the nose, exhaling out the mouth as you pull the belly deep and wide.
Then on the next exhale you're going to pull the belly deep and wide as you turn on your transverse abs, compressing the abdominals, feeling like you're trying to get your ribs to meet your hips. You're going to feel this broader, longer contraction on both sides. Inhaling through the nose, exhaling out the mouth. Pull the belly deep and wide as you turn on those transverse abs, compressing the abdomen.
Last piece. Inhaling through the nose, exhaling out the mouth. Pulling the belly deep and wide. Turning those transverse abs on and letting all the air out of the diaphragm. Do you feel how the rectus abs connect when you let all the air out of the diaphragm?
Inhaling through the nose. Exhaling out the mouth. Pulling the belly deep and wide. Compressing the abs, and letting all the air out of the diaphragm.
